Giorgio Scalici, Italy

Giorgio Scalici (Palermo 1986) is a researcher at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Where, in 2013, he obtained the Master’s Degree in Ethnomusicology, before obtaining a PhD in Religious Studies from Durham University, UK. 

He is currently leading research on religious freedom, funerals and minorities.

His fields of research include death studies, indigenous culture, religious studies, ethnomusicology and the anthropology of emotions.
