Giorgio Scalici
Giorgio Scalici (Palermo 1986) is a researcher at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Where, in 2013, he obtained the Master’s Degree in Ethnomusicology, before
obtaining a PhD in Religious Studies from Durham University, UK.
He is currently leading a readerch on religious freedom, funerals and minorities.
His fields of research include death studies, indigenous culture, religious studies, ethnomusicology and the anthropology of emotions.
