Kathryn Berry – PGR Representative

Kathryn is a PhD Candidate in the field of Death, Religion and Culture with The University of Winchester. She is studying for her Doctorate part time whilst working as a teacher of English and RPE in a UK secondary comprehensive school (11-18).

Her interdisciplinary research is primarily in late Victorian rural death, but she also has an interest in other areas of death, religion and culture such as biker funeral rituals and postmortem tattoo preservation.

An PGR Representative she wants to continue to develop communication between those beginning their academic journeys and to help build a supportive network of peers to swap stories, help with research tips, give guidance, show understanding and most of all to celebrate the many successes along the way.
